first patent (no. 1,717,487).

In 1931 he applied for
the first internal tube
cutter. It used a hand
held drill. Unfortunately
the only thing we have
of this device today is
the square box thread
gage. 1932 was
awarded his first patent
(no. 1,883,453).






In 1933 he improved on
the puller technology
making it more
powerful and
incorporating  a means
of holding bite pressure
then extration pull
pressure. Due to
materials of the time
the base was made of
cast iron.
