The final step in tube removal is the disposal of the scrap tubes.
After the entire tube is removed from the condenser, use
Armstrong's high speed, self-feeding rotary tube chopper on a
roll-around stand. It automatically flattens and chops tubes into
4" pieces expelling them downward into a 55 gallon drum, a
large bin or onto a conveyor. The machine has a safety lever
which quickly disengages the pressure rolls.
Productivity: 6 tubes per minute (30 ft long) -
highest speed in the industry.
Power: 230/460V three phase 5 hp motor.
Air: 80 PSIG static line pressure.
Weight: chopper, 580 lbs.; stand, 140 lbs.

Scrap is compressed into a much smaller volume,
hence scrapped tubes are removed from confined
work areas easily and rapidly with less tedious
handling. Scrap values are increased.
